Eric Wallis was born in 1968 and started painting in oils at the age of 6.
He attended Utah State University spending hours at rehearsals with the University’s modern dance company, sketching the dancers. He started working as a professional gallery artist in 1990 while still in college, graduating in 1992 with a BFA.
Eric states, “I love the movement and anatomical definition that dancers have characteristically. There is power in their bodies that they use to convey beautiful grace and emotional verbiage. It is difficult to capture that in a 2 dimensional work and therefore it embodies a challenge that I enjoy”. Today’s work with the figure includes the provocative sensuality of the body. His work has been featured in many of the most prestigious art shows across the United States including Art Undressed, Seattle Erotic Art Festival. In 2015, Eric won the London based Jade Magazine’s “Erotic Artist of the Year”. Eric was also the cover feature artist for Art Voices Magazine distributed at the Armory Show in New York City.
Eric’s nudes are collected worldwide.
